Create your own university. Come prepared to defend your choices about what the perfect university setting should, would, or could be. Topics to consider may include, but are not limited to:
Name (ex: University of Davidson at Berkeley)
Location (On a hilltop overlooking the ocean, Compton, Venezuela)
Price per semester (In-state/out of state tuitions, meal plans, athletic/health center fees)
Admission Rates (Everyone gets in, one out of five gets in, only women between twenty and twenty two are allowed)
Admission Standards (Perfect ACT scores, one on one interviews, GPA)
Campus Life (Greek Life, Drinking Policies, Intramural Sports, Campus Concerts, Dorms)
Funding (Sprint PCS University of Southern Miss, alumni donations, bakesales)
Sporting Teams and Facilities (John Madden as head football coach, underwater track team)
Faculty (10 to one Professor to Student ratio, Dr. Phil as head of psychology department)
Programs Offered/Specialty (Public/Private, Liberal Arts College, Video Game Development as a Major)
Misc. (Parking, Meal Plans, Campus Layout, Mascot, School Colors)
In addition please consider innovative strategies not currently employed by most universities. Possiblities include no grading, no majors, coop testing, classes only Mondays through Wednesdays, student developed courses, free parking for A students, payment for all GPA's over 3.5, guaranteed job placement, etc.
